Dave, Kathy.. and now Owen: 4th of July

On Monday, it was Owen's first 4th of July. And... it was Owen's 2 month birthday. :) Happy Birthday, lil Owen. I love you. We packed up the car and headed down to Yorkville to bring in the fun with the Brown Family. We got there at 1:35 pm. Each year they have a BBQ, pool party, and set off fire works. Last year we were on a cruise so we missed out on the fun.

Linda was in heaven with her grandson on the 4th helping with feeding, burping, & changing Owen's numerous wet and soiled diapies. Owen was a hot mess again all clammy since it was another hot July day. We stayed inside a lot, in the Brown's basement since it was quite uncomfortable. I watched a lil bit of Dr. No which was on tv while I breast fed, pumped, and put down Owen for a nap. I also got to watch True Blood since I missed Sunday's episode. Thanks Browns for DVRin' it :) So I was happy with my lil 4th of July in the basement. Owen can't go in the pool yet due to the sun rays and not being able to wear SPF. Next summer we'll have a fun time hamming it up in the sun and swimming :) It'll be fun :)

The Hamiltons, The Stanleys, Mr Strong, The Browns, and The Browns friends and kids' friends were all their for the fesitivies. Owen's first visit meeting Dave's extended family was a hit. Even though Owen was fussier than normal they all said Owen was a very handsome and well behaved boy

We braved the 4th of July until about 7:00 when we were hitting a wall.. plus we had to go home and relieve Bert and Ernie. We took them out at about noon and our dogs are every 5-6 hours-walk-me-dogs. We went home and bathed Owen. He was a sweaty baby and also held a lot this day so we felt it was due. We try to bathe Owen every other day but lately it's every night!

Next year, we'll stay up for the fireworks since Owen can wear OFF bugspray and SPF! We were able to hear the fireworks and see some from our townhouse windows anyway.
