Owen's visitors the first week

Owen is quite the popular attraction. On Tuesday, May 10th my mom came over to help me out. She helped water my outdoor flowers, change out the water in the vases of our bouquets, cleaned up the kitchen, we went for a walk, and she brought over the entertainment... Bert and Ernie!!! The dogs did so well after being gone for a week without mom and dad. The dogs were very inquisitive over Owen. They sniffed him and were worn out after a walk outside. It was quite hot this day. We turned on the AC for the first time in 2011!

Ernie finally relaxing and not being so hyper around Owen

Bert chillin' like a villain in the shade near the door. He missed home, I can tell.

It was so hot that my mom's car overheated and she had to stay with us past 5:00.. until 8:30! Alexis, and her mom, Cheryl came to visit Owen on Tuesday night. They brought us 2 dozen white roses and a really thoughtful gift from Lord & Taylor. Owen's got some sweet outfits/hats to wear in addition to a really soft blanket and new burpies too! Thanks guys! Here are pix from their visit...

Dave came home after Benedictine ended on Tuesday. He was surprised to see my mom still there. I told him what happened with the car. Bert and Ernie were so happy to see their dad. I got some really cute pictures of how much they missed dad. They squeezed into a spot on the couch and literally DOG PILED. :) Haha! Here are the adorable pix of my 4 men.. that's right me and 4 boys in the house now...

Dad is excited to come home to see Owen.. even if he was passed out already

On Wednesday, Owen turned 1 week old! Dave's parents stopped by again to visit their grandson. They brought us some Noodles & Company for dinner. :) Yum! Here are some pix of the grandparents with their son. On Wednesday, John Martens and Dan Adrian also stopped by but I didn't get any pix.. nuts! John brought over a sweet card with some diaper money for Owen! :) woo hoo! John's wife is pregnant and due in September with their bundle of joy. They are going to be surprised with the sex of their first baby. Dan Adrian is moving out West to Arlington, VA as he found a job working for the government. So it'll be sad to see our good friend Dan move so far.. but it's for the best for him! So we are happy! Dan gave us a gift from his parents... a book. Dan also sent us a really cute book too.. it's called "There's a Monster at the end of this book". It's a Sesame Street book with Grover. It was cute to hear Dave read this story to Owen. Thanks for the visit!

On Thursday, Renee came over to visit us. She brought her adorable 11 month old Addie with. :) Of course, I forgot to take pix! Grr! Renee took some pix though. She stayed for a lil over an hour and Owen slept through the entire visit. Haha. He loves his daytime naps. It was cute to see Addie with Owen. She was so gentle with him. Addie is a very rambunctious lil tot!  She's crawling everywhere and is growing up so much. Renee and I talked a lot about our experiences at Edward. Renee and I both go to the same OB and DR. BRIDGET FRANGELLA delivered both Addison and Owen. Hahah! We're bonded for life.. through DuPage Medical Group. Haha!

Also on Thursday night, Jon Marchese came to visit us. He brought over an ADORABLE gift. A cute giraffe, a sleeper, and an adorable "daddy's little buddy" monkey outfit. :) We love it. It's been washed and worn already. :) haha!

Sara also sent us 2 packages as well. One was a on-the-day-you-were-born-keepsake for his scrapbook. The other package contained some burpies with the letter "O" and a couple of outfits. :) We love it. Thanks Krenek family!

On Sunday, Sondie came to visit. Here are some pix of me and Owen. He is officially 1 week old 4 days. It was nice to catch up with her and have some adult time. Hahah!

Dave's aunt sent us some booties and a sweet card. A lot of Dave's kids he teaches at school sent home clothes, white sox outfits, and bath towels for Owen. :) We really appreciate all the considerate gifts. Owen is spoiled for sure! His first week home was filled with tons of visitors and getting used to home without the dogs.  Hopefully, the doctor wouldn't be too mad with the amount of visitors. They said to limit visits when we were discharged.  Oh well!
